Why is paying for an AI API hard from Tunisia?
Model makers bill in dollars, by usage, and ask for a card accepted abroad.
- You need an international card, often with a yearly foreign currency ceiling
- The invoice comes in dollars, without Tunisian VAT, hard to book
- Automatic charging can go past what you planned if an app runs away
For a business, these three points matter as much as the token price.
What is an OpenAI-compatible API?
An API that accepts exactly the same request format as OpenAI: same routes, same fields, same libraries.
To move from OpenAI to XAB AI you change three things: the address (https://cloud.khaledxab.com/v1), the key (xab-...) and the model name. Tools like n8n, LangChain, Flowise or Open WebUI accept a custom address.
One key gives access to 25 models, from the cheapest (Qwen, GPT-OSS, Llama) to the strongest (Claude, GPT-5, Gemini Pro), plus embeddings to search your documents.

Request a quoteHow much does AI cost in dinars?
Price is counted in tokens, about three quarters of a word. At XAB AI, prices including VAT per million tokens:
- Small models (Qwen3.7 Flash, GPT-OSS 20B): input from 0.500 TND
- Medium models (Qwen3 30B, DeepSeek V4 Flash, Gemini Flash Lite): input from 0.900 TND
- Premium (Claude, GPT-5, Gemini): input from 0.800 TND, more on output
A shop chatbot answering 1,000 questions a month often uses less than 5 TND on a medium model. Details are in our guide on token prices.
How to pay and start?
Credit is prepaid: you buy a pack, use it, and at zero requests stop.
- Packs of 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 TND, with up to 25% free credit on large packs
- Payment by bank transfer or bank deposit, Tunisian invoice with VAT
- Credit valid 12 months after the last purchase
You then create your keys in the client area, with a monthly budget per key if you want to limit an app.
